We Create Awesome Stuff
We are Lorna and Russel Hutcheson and are located in rural Ayrshire, Scotland. Having met at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, we married in 1990 and have been a creative team ever since. Hutcheson Art exists to promote Lorna's return to her love of fine art. In 2023 Lorna applied to become an artist member of Paisley Art Institute and the Glasgow Society of Women Artists and was accepted on her first application to both of these prestigious societies. It was a wonderful surprise to win the Louise Burbour Award for 'Snow Leopard' which was bought during the exhibition. Her art classes are very popular and her students tackle a variety of topics in three week modules..
Kingsley Media was established in 1994 as a traditional graphic design business which continues in parallel as a B2B concern, with Russel serving broadcast and print media
With completely different, yet complementary, skills sets we make the perfect team.
Landscape, seascape, portrait, pets or a special location? Any meaningful subject can be painted for you.
With years of experience in the creative industries we have been an influence for innovation with many corporate PLC companies. We also work with small businesses and sole independent traders as we believe good design is a universal aspiration.
Art can be a very collaborative process. Lorna likes to talk. Russel, not so much! Let's get to know you and help achieve the best results.
We like an informal meeting over a tea or coffee to hear about your prospective commission. Together we'll find a solution to meet your budget and expectations. Your happiness from start to finish is our aim and you may be introduced to something new and exciting?

Paisley Art Institute 135 Annual Art Exhibition • 185 Bath St, Glasgow G2 4HU • 16 April to 8 June 2024
After a very successful run at the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine, 'Promise' closed to the public on 23 August 2019. It was a fantastic experience and Lorna would like to thank everyone that took the time to visit and for their kind words and continued support.
'A Space to Grow' • The Barony Centre, 50 Main St, West Kilbride KA23 9AR • 28 March to 27 April 2024
When Kingsley Media was created back in 1994 the Internet was in its infancy. Like all new technologies it was a bit basic, and consequently it was relatively easy to dabble in its design. Our web site was beginning to look a bit dated so we've retired it for the moment as we've not needed to follow that particular curve. So, just to be clear, we don't do web sites! Kingsley Media continues with its B2B remit, serving established broadcast television and printed media clients.
40 years of experience in live broadcast television with the BBC, STV and independents, including numerous elections and major sporting events. Also involved with current affairs, having contributed to major programmes around significant Scottish news stories such as Piper Alpha, Lockerbie and Dunblane. Russel enjoyed eight years as the graphics supervisor on BBC's Antiques Road Trip.
A regular contributor of general sports coverage on an ad hoc basis for SportPix agency, Russel's photographs have featured in many Scottish newspapers and online. He is an accredited photographer with ASO, the organiser of the Tour de France and other major professional cycling events.
We are happy to assist with other people's output, bridging old school skills with the latest industry software suites. We still have a Letraset burnisher and are dab hands with a ruler and scalpel, and still have all our fingers to prove it!
We can still turn our hands to creating artwork for the printed page or designing specific content. Any excuse for Lorna to inhale the fumes from press inks!
